Our Way of Healing

At Changing Point, we believe true wellbeing comes from caring for the whole person — body, mind, and spirit. Our treatments extend beyond massage alone, offering an integrated approach to health that combines remedial bodywork, yoga, movement, breath, and holistic healing practices.

Nestled beside the breathtaking Hazards Mountains and the pristine coastline of Freycinet Peninsula, our space is deeply connected to nature. The ocean air, mountain energy, and surrounding landscape form part of the healing experience — reminding us to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to balance.

Changing Point is more than a clinic — it is a space to reconnect, restore, and realign. A place where therapeutic care meets natural beauty, and where your wellbeing is supported from the inside out.

Yoga

Our yoga offerings invite you to stretch, strengthen, flow, and breathe with intention. Through mindful movement and guided breathwork, we help regulate the nervous system, improve flexibility and stability, and cultivate a deeper connection to self. Whether you’re seeking grounding, vitality, recovery, or stillness, our classes are created to support your unique journey.

Massage

Massage supports the body’s natural ability to heal, recover, and restore balance. By improving circulation, reducing muscular tension, calming the nervous system, and enhancing mobility, it creates space for the body to reset and repair. Each session is tailored using a blend of deep tissue, myofascial release, lymphatic techniques, relaxation, and energetic work — designed to meet you exactly where you are on the day.

Massage Modalities

  • As the name suggests, this style targets deep in the muscle to release stubborn tension or reoccurring tension within that muscle. This can be a painful treatment, but the benefits are great because it creates space for fresh blood to circulate and help with the release.

  • This is when a section of the muscle holds onto tension and causes a trigger point. Releasing this area can cause a ripple effect for the rest of the muscle to release and relax.

  • All of your muscles have a connecting layer around them and this is called myofascial tissue. This style of massage is to release this tissue and improve mobility to the entire body. There is a lot of stretching and can be painful.

  • You can be fully clothed for this session. It is light to heavy pressure on the body to relieve tension and improve circulation. This is a great therapy for those experiencing headaches, jaw tension and scalp tension. It can also release emotion tension and stresses.

  • This style is aimed at athletes of any level, or those with an active lifestyle, who are wanting to incorporate massage into their routine. There is an assessment done by the therapist and a regular treatment plan is usually made for the client.

  • Also known as relaxation massage. This is a flowing and soothing treatment which gets blood moving around the body. This is beneficial for sensitive people and those looking to destress.

  • This is a Japanese style of massage involving pressure to both the muscles and joints. This is less of a flowing massage than swedish and offers great benefits like improved circulation and joint release.

  • Reiki is all about energy. This treatment is very light and connects you deeper within yourself. A lot of emotions can erupt from a reiki session and healing can continue for weeks.

  • Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. This suction will improve the flow of energy in the body and facilitate healing.

  • Lymphatic drainage is a type of massage that encourages the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
